Icons are also painted on old wood (which is no longer working in time),
taking as a model famous icons of the XII-XVII. The mirrors are made by
parts of an old piece of furniture that could not be recondition, using,
for example, a closet door which was removed and the sheet metal was replaced
with a mirror.
The technique used in these paintings is centuries old.
Exhibition from TRANSYLVANIA Art Gallery, between January 3 to February
3, 2011 includes 15 wooden icons executarte in traditional technique, in
which she skillfully juggles with canonical dimension, taking advantage
and all the potentialities and pointing to a barely perceptible to the experiment.
• Guidelines for participants:
Can expose, professional artists, selected by gallery management,
requesting an appointment in time and according to availability of exhibition
space (exact date will be determined by mutual agreement after a meeting /
discussion)
The artist is obliged to provide the necessary materials to promote the event from the gallery -photos, a brief description of the exhibition (the number of works, technical idea of what lies around the concept) but that includes a review of his artistic work, comments and criticism, with at least one week before the date set for opening of the exhibition.
Exhibitions from the TRANSYLVANIA Art Gallery space covers a period of two weeks, while the gallery will promote the event through posters that includes artist name, title of the exhibition, in which technique are painted, period and location. This poster is also available on websites but also in print versions of magazines and newspapers with whom we collaborate.
The Art Gallery does not charge a fee from the artist, but he have to leave
to the organizers in exchange of hosting and promoting the exibiton a work/painting
of him.
Painting on glass technique streamlines the image field, giving him an unusual materiality, to great effect in particular plea transfiguration. Challenge the imagination, the viewer associated with joy, enhances the charm of these compositions, the illustrations in fairy tales that seem hardly wait to know.
In December, Art Gallery TRANSYLVANIA is hosting the exhibition
"Myth, poetry and color" in which you can purchase works of the
artist painting on glass in a color that is the main vehicle structure of
feeling built each work.
